Summertime

I can't remember the last time that I created a two-pager. For some reason, I felt compelled to do so this week. I pulled out my Allison Davis sketch book, (thanks, Sue!) and found one that was close to the design that I knew I wanted to use.

I printed my photos in a collage, then cut it to spread across two pages. I followed the rest of the sketch kind of closely. I pop dotted most of my stickers for dimension and added twine bows for a whimsical feel. I can't believe how much fun I actually had creating this layout. Maybe I should try a sketch more often.

And with this post, my ready to blog folder is completely empty. I sure hope I can find some time this weekend to get some things done. What are your plans?

I really like this! I do almost exclusively 2-page LOs and I'm always using photo collages ... I'm going to have to bookmark this for inspiration! :) Great job!

So cute! I love layouts with lots of pictures on them. I used to do tons of 2 page layouts and haven't done one in ages--yours came out great!

This is so, so cute!
I love the collage first of all.
But I also love your little twine elements.
The bows on your banner and flowers!
I need to pin this on Pinterest :)

Love that summer line, too!

Great two-pager! I rarely, probably never, attempt a double spread without one of Allison's sketches. And you can use them over and over with minor variations, they are so good!

Love his design and layout. I rarely do 2-pagers either. Great work. So many cute pics!

I use Picasa, which is a free software. All you do is upload your photos, press create collage, and it does it for you. Then you can increase the white borders and move the photos around until it is how you want it. Save it and print. It is not complicated at all.

Ahhh this layout has me wishing for summer! So bright & cheerful. I haven't done a full 2 pager in a while either.

such a fun layout! Makes me wish it were summertime! Although I can't complain, Southern Cal hasn't seen much of winter.
